Some people dreamt to be the next Steve Jobs on the Planet. Well it ain't going to work, because he has done something remarkable, and that remarkable is taken, so it is no longer remarkable when you do it.
If companies want to think about innovation, my advise, don't do Benchmarking. Benchmarking is stupid. Why? Because we pick a current industry leader, launch a 5 year program of which the goal is to be as good as whichever it was 5 years ago, 5 years from now. Does it look like an original aspiration?
